The 2025 edition of Sigep World – The World Expo for Foodservice Excellence, organized by Italian Exhibition Group (IEG), is set to strengthen its position as a global reference point for the foodservice industry. Scheduled to take place at Rimini Expo Centre from January 18 to 22, 2025, the event will spotlight five major sectors: gelato, which has always been the core of the exhibition, pastry & chocolate, coffee, bakery, and the exciting new addition for the upcoming edition, pizza.

The event will expand to cover 138,000 square meters, including two new halls dedicated to the pizza sector and an extended product and exhibit offering, featuring ovens, flours, toppings, and equipment for pizzerias and chains. This confirms Sigep World as the global beacon for the foodservice industry, covering it from every angle.

International Scope and Networking

Sigep World 2025 will host exhibitors from 33 countries, primarily from Italy, Germany, Spain, China, France, Turkey, Belgium, Poland, and the United States—key nations for fostering business relations across the five represented sectors.

The international focus will be even more pronounced through strategic business matching programs: over 520 buyers from 79 countries, including the United States, India, Canada, Brazil, Turkey, and China, have already joined the Top Buyers’ Program, which facilitates connections between supply and demand at the fair. These participants represent a wide range of key foodservice players: 34% are from chains—such as gelaterias, restaurants, quick-service restaurants, pastry shops, coffee shops, bakeries, pizzerias, and hotel chains—while 28% are manufacturers and artisanal workshops. The remaining attendees include 20% importers, 14% distributors and wholesalers, and 4% from large-scale distribution and collective catering.

Additionally, more than 2,500 European buyers from Spain, Germany, France, Romania, Greece, and the United Kingdom will participate in the Premium Program.

A major international innovation is the Guest Country project: starting this edition, Sigep World will spotlight a specific country each year. For 2025, the Guest Country will be Saudi Arabia, a market with significant potential, making remarkable strides in tourism and hospitality thanks to substantial investments aimed at positioning itself as an international travel destination.

Focus on Sustainability and Innovation

Sigep World 2025 will emphasize sustainability with the new Sustainability District, dedicated to promoting sustainable practices along the coffee and cocoa supply chains. Countries of origin, such as Ecuador, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Venezuela, Colombia, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Uganda, Ivory Coast, and Kenya, will showcase their excellence, fostering ethical and sustainable relationships.

Technological innovation will permeate every sector, making the expo a premier platform for discovering the latest trends and innovative solutions transforming the global foodservice landscape. Foodservice technologies will take center stage, supported by partnerships with leading industry associations and the exhibition of cutting-edge machinery and equipment, from gelato to restaurant services.

Competitions and Events

The Rimini Expo Centre will also host the 46th edition of Sigep World, featuring national and international competitions such as the Italian Pastry Championship, Pizza Without Borders – World Pizza Champions Games, Bread in the City – Bakery World Cup, and the Gelato Europe Cup.

Additionally, over 40 international events will take place, including talks—such as Sigep Vision, a global observatory on foodservice trends offering insights into market evolution—and competitions involving 60 prominent speakers from the Out-of-Home industry.
