More than 540 companies and brands on display, more than 30,000 square meters of exhibition space and foreign delegations from 32 nations. These are the numbers of Simei 2024 (Fiera Milano Rho, Nov. 12-15), the leading international exhibition for oenological and bottling machinery, which, in view of its 30th edition, is preparing to cut the ribbon with growing numbers in terms of both participation and internationality.
“We have increased the exhibition area by 8 percent and record +13 percent also among exhibitors,” explains Paolo Castelletti, secretary general of Unione italiana vini (UIV), which organizes the biennial event. “A growth that reflects, on the one hand, the expansion of the merchandise offer at the fair, and on the other, the expectation of an important appointment for a sector, that of machinery and technologies, crucial for the innovation of the entire beverage sector at a particularly challenging time on the market front. Added to this,” Castelletti concludes, ”is the increasingly large participation of delegations of foreign operators, selected together with Agenzia Ice, which will include, among the 32 delegations representing all continents, 70 U.S. buyers-especially from California-from as many high-profile companies”.
With all the latest news and innovations on products and processes for oenology, liquid food, oil, beer and spirits, Simei turns the spotlight on the best of technology applied to the wine and beverage industry at all stages. The program (constantly being updated) already counts about 70 appointments including conferences, case study presentations and technical insights.
